The Sustainable Minerals Institute is a research institute based at the University of Queensland whose vision is to find solutions to the complex problems facing the environment, humanity and the economy.
The institute is made up of six research centres and an international centre of excellence. Each centre is committed to delivering sustainable resource development and training the next generation of industry and community leaders.
At our International Centre of Excellence in in Chile we seek to develop research solutions to the challenges facing industry and society in Chile and Latin America through collaborative projects with local partners and our colleagues at the SMI in Australia.
